Toward an Emergent Church Values Set

i hope this will be the first post in a series here at soupablog. Knowing me, I will no doubt stray from this task. But my desire is to chart out a list of values common to the emergent community, as seen through my filters. If I can codify these over, say, the course of this summer, I'll be happy. These values will definitely draw heavily from the thinking and writing of others in the community, so if I only have one or two new thoughts, that's fine. I'm going to be working on all the levels of Bloom's (quite modern) Taxonomy :)

i'm putting these thoughts to use, this isn't just an idle idyll idol thing. My purpose is to make a clearing (thanks to Len Sweet for that handy metaphor) in the thicket where I can camp out for a while, to see the landscape and sketch its contours.

but the intent will be towards the reader's local church in its myriad outworkings.
