echo valley

so this is interesting. i spent the weekend at the h-e-b foundation camp in leakey, texas. the same place where 13 years ago (!) i was a camp counselor and taught little kids how to rappel and do arts and crafts and stuff.

amy and i took the kiddos to a family work weekend thing there, since jordan (our oldest, our son) is going to be a camper there this summer. somewhere along the way my attitude changed -- the work assignment i loathed receiving was the one i got, but it turned out okay.

the camp has really turned around since i worked there. that's another story for another time.

i'm back on south beach diet starting yesterday.
