s-a-t-u-r-d-a-y (nite) or at least late afternoon.
i got to spend lunch today with two members of my closest circle of friends from my Baylor days, Jay and Christy Conder. We ate at orderup, my friend's place. it's been a lazy day. i've had Kate all day long while Amy and the kids are at VBS at Wayside.
And... i FINALLY finished Newbigin's Gospel in a Pluralist Society. That one took a while. And I finished Ender's Game (a much quicker read) last night. (Ted, if you're reading this, I put it in your mail slot an hour ago. You didn't answer when i knocked).
My current favorite song is Something Like Silas' Spirit Waltz off their brand new record, Divine Invitation -- an autographed copy of the CD is available for under ten bucks here. Track 5.
one of my art direction pieces is getting into Graphis magazine it seems.
Hey, I'm jealous...tell that Conder guy I miss him and hope he's doing well. And he needs a blog!

Paul,
I'm a huge Ender fan. Suggest you now read Enders Shadow (a separate story thread that retells what you just read from the perspective of Bean - it's a very different story and wonderful) and then go back and finish the Ender books before you pick the Bean books back up. I was like reading these things at stoplights I was so into them.

Paul,
I read the Ender books over a decade ago and loved them. I finished the first (quadragy? quadrilogy? trilogy+1) books in the Ender story not long after the last one came out. The Bean story wraps up in Card's next book.
I'd agree with Stephen's suggestion that you read "Ender's Shadow" next. That and "Ender's Game" constitute #1 and 2 of my all-time favorite SF books.
Erin is not a science fiction fan, but she absolutely loved Game/Shadow.
