I started reading C.S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe to the three oldest kids this week. We cover one, two, or three chapters a night in lieu of my usual off-the-cuff bedtime story. It's more talking than my usual stories, and I don't get the creative outlet of making up new characters every evening, BUT when you're a little tired, it's nice to be able to have a 'fixed liturgy' of a good ole' familiar story to read. I spared the kids the fake British accents, which is how I started reading The Magician's Nephew to Jordan a few years ago. Whew.
I'm off to bed.
Shalom.
