this weekend i:
-saw john mayer (and ben folds) in concert with travis b.
-saw 'overnight' documenting the downfall of boondock saints dir., troy duffy.
-folded tarpaulins, then set them back out when it started raining.
-ate a 'perfect' praline, according to the proprietor; agreed with him.
-got a haircut.
-took out the trash, swept the house, cleaned out old fridge junk.
-rode the blue line down to blue star.
-went to two different churches in one sunday, both featuring taizé in some form.
-thought a little about darfur.
-wandered around downtown san antonio.
-painted a diptych (see previous post).
-ate two hamburgers this weekend. orderup beats blue star hands down.
-watched 'where the heart is' (natalie portman, 2000) on tv last night
-tuned my guitar using 8notes.com's online guitar tuner,
-and then learned to play bob wills' 'home in san antone'.
-read up on doug sahm and the sir douglas quintet
-and realized i had gone to high school with his sons
-digitized some old CDs.
i totally miss orderup! please send my saludos to the galbreath family if/when you see david or autumn dawn...that restaurant is on my list of places i have to go while i am home in a few months.
