ahh. we're back in san antonio after a relaxing holy week at the historic coe ranch just down the mountain from ruidoso, new mexico. it was an amazingly great home base for daytrips into town, detours into cloudcroft, explorations of three rivers petroglyph site, the kids' first-ever day of snow skiing, searching for elk antlers, etc. plus a lot of down time to read and sketch and cook and eat and talk and watch the kids get tangled in "the ham" (a hammock). saw carlsbad caverns on the way up as well. and i had a whole morning to snap photos of old 20th century neon motel signs ...thanks to our great hosts, the brodericks; we felt like kings and queens for a week.
*all the trip photo galleries will be posted soon, once mark and i do a photo-share. most of the better pics are on his nikon digital slr. a few scrappers are also on my iphone.
more soon. going to go prep for easter service.
