i'm sitting at a barstool at the tower café at st. mary's and convent, saying hello to you via the new typepad application for the iphone. life has seemed difficult adjusting to the real world after coming off a week of relative leisure and liberty. the trip stands in contrast to the electroplumbing problem from last night: our kitchen dispose-all came seperated from the outbound pvc pipe, so a fun mixture of water, rice, green beans and other food particles had flooded the lower cabinet and caused an electrical short. which caused an electric-blue explosion and tripped circuits. today we're letting the whole thing dry out. but after cleaning up the mess, i was at least able to organize all those random things that collect under one's kitchen sink. back to more thoughtful blogposts soon. mundane is important, too.
Sorry to hear about your plumbing issues. I just replaced our disposal unit a few weeks ago, so let me know if you need any tips. :-)
