Franciscan Retreat III

I'm wrapping up work early today to start getting into retreat mode. Our third and final Summer 2008 Franciscan Retreat is tonight and tomorrow up at Covenant.

I'm trying to slow down my pace and be open to being surprised or fed or sustained or challenged or strengthened.

I hope you have a wonderful retreat. For me, when I need to slow down I read poetry. You can't read poetry without slowing down.

I recommend Wendell Berry if you've never read him.
